OVERVIEW
12 Days of Primates and Animals. The Uganda Safari is the best way to see a lot of wildlife, beautiful scenery, and different cultures. The best part of this trip is tracking gorillas and chimpanzees. You'll also have great chances to see lions, rhinos, hippos, buffalo, leopards, elephants, and a wide range of bird species, as well as different types of dense green forest. You will also go to Murchison Falls National Park in the north of Uganda to see the roaring waterfall and visit the crater lakes in the west and south-west of Uganda. This trip will bring you closer to nature and culture. The trip begins in Kampala and ends there or at Entebbe International Airport.

DAY 1: Pick up from Entebbe Airport.
- On the first day of 12 days primates and wildlife Uganda safari. When you arrive at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by officials from our safari company. They will brief you about the safari and then take you to the hotel in Entebbe where you have made a reservation. You will enjoy fresh breeze air from Lake Victoria a second largest lake in the world. Arrive at the hotel, check in and relax while you wait for the next day's journey. Dinner and staying the night.
DAY 2: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary-Rhino Tracking.
- On the second day of 12 days primates and wildlife Uganda safari. You will wake up early, have breakfast, and then head to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary along Gulu High in Nakasongola district. This is the same route to Uganda's biggest national park, Murchison Falls National Park. You will go to Ziwa to track rhinos, which can take between 1 and 2 hours based on where they are in the reserve. After tracking, keep driving to Murchison Falls National Park, stopping for lunch in Masindi town along the way. Then go to the top of the falls, where you can see some of the most powerful waterfalls in the world once you enter in the park. When you get to the top of the falls, you'll meet your driver, who will take you to your lodge inside the park check in. Dinner and Overnight stay.
DAY 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.
- On the third day of 12 days primates and wildlife Uganda safari. Get up early in the morning and take a hearty breakfast. After an early breakfast, meet your safari guide and drive to the northern bank of the River Nile to look for elephants, hartebeest, buffaloes, leopards, lions, waterbucks, giraffes, and several species of birds. It's a rare chance to see wild animals in their natural habitat as they eat, play, and enjoy their jungle. You will go back to eat lunch at your lodge.
- After lunch, you can go on a boat cruise, which gives you more chances to see a wide range of animals and birds. The boat cruise will be on the Victoria Nile, where you will get close to the Devil's Cauldron and other water creatures like hippos, crocodiles, and birds, giving you great views of the animals and the falls. Return for dinner and Overnight stay at your lodge.
DAY 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park.
- On the fourth day of 12 days primates and wildlife Uganda safari. Wake up early, have breakfast, and check out. Then, you'll be taken to Kibale National Park, which is home to more than 13 kinds of primates. You will be able to see small towns, local markets, and many different kinds of birds as you drive. Along the way you will stop in Fort portal for the lunch enroute, after you will proceed with your journey to Kibale with the stunning views of tea plantation, crater lakes and among others. Once you get there you will check into your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
DAY 5: Chimpanzee Trekking.
- On the fifth day of 12 days primates and wildlife Uganda safari. Wake up early and have breakfast. Then, drive to the park's headquarters for the briefing on how to behave around chimpanzees during chimpanzee trekking. After that, you'll walk with a ranger to Kibale Forest to look for chimps. While you're looking, you might also see red-tailed monkeys, white and black colobus monkeys, butterflies, and birds. Chimpanzee trekking takes around 30 minutes to 4 hours. And then, when they found are chimpanzees. You’ll have great, memorable times with them as you watch them eat, play, and get fed. Take as many pictures as you want and record the videos. After one hour you will return back to the lodge for lunch.
- After lunch in the afternoon, go to Bigodi and the nearby swamp, which is known for having a lot of birds and primates. By going to the area, you are helping the community in many ways because the fees are used to build schools and give small loans to the locals. After go back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
DAY 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
- On the sixth day of 12 days primates and wildlife Uganda safari. Wake up early in the morning and take breakfast. After breakfast, you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Kasenyi plains for a wildlife adventure. Along the way, you will get to see several crater lakes and the beautiful Rwenzori Mountain ranges. You'll eat lunch when you get to the park, and then you'll drive to the park for afternoon game drive to see wildlife of Queen like the elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs and among others. Return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 7: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth
- On the seventh day of 12 days primates and wildlife Uganda safari. Wake up early in the morning and take breakfast. After breakfast in the early morning, you will drive to the park for a game drive in Kasenyi plains in a 4-wheel drive car. There, you can spot the Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Kobs, Waterbucks, and other animals without forgetting the bird species. After lunch will be at the lodge after the morning game drive.
- After lunch, you will go on a boat cruise on Kazinga channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. During the boat cruise you will spot the hippopotamuses, crocodiles in water and sighting various animal species like elephants, Uganda kobs around the water shores while drinking water and sighting beautiful bird species like African Jacana, Yellow bellied stork, Hammerkops, African fish eagle and among others. Go back to your lodge after the boat cruise for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
DAY 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
- On the eighth day of 12 days primates and wildlife Uganda safari. Wake up early in the morning and take breakfast. After morning breakfast say bye to Queen Elizabeth national park and drive out of the park to transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park a home of great apes, this journey takes us through the Kigezi highlands with rewarding scenery of terraced hills. With lunch on the way. You'll get to the park, check into the lodge, and rest while getting ready for gorilla trekking the next day. Dinner and Overnight stay.
DAY 9: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi.
- On the ninth day of 12 days primates and wildlife Uganda safari. Wake up early and have breakfast, then go to the highlight of the trip to meet the gentle giants of Bwindi Impenetrable national park. But first, you will be briefed on what to do and what not to do while gorilla walking. After that, you will go into the forest with a ranger leader and your lunch boxes to look for them. Keep in mind that gorilla trekking is a random activity that can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours based on how they move. After you find them, you only have an hour to watch them, play, feed, breast feed and take pictures, recording the videos of how they live in the jungle. After go back to your lodge, dinner and Overnight stay.
DAY 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.
- On the tenth day of 12 days primates and wildlife Uganda safari. Get up early in the morning and have breakfast early in the morning, check out of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, and drive through beautiful scenery, plantations, and farms on the way to Lake Mburo. On the way, you'll stop for lunch at the Igongo cultural centre. There, you'll learn about the past of the Ankole people and see the long-horned cattle. Upon you arrive, you will check in your lodge and go on boat launch on Lake Mburo to sight the marvelous wildlife like hippos, crocodiles, acquatic bird species like pelicans, Egptian goose and many others. After the boat cruise you will go back to your lodge for dinner and Overnight stay.
DAY 11: Transfer to Jinja via Kampala.
- On the eleventh day of 12 days primates and wildlife Uganda safari. Wake up early in the morning and take a delicious breakfast. After breakfast in the morning, take a short enroute game drive in the park and then leave Lake Mburo to go to Jinja. Drive to Kampala, stopping at the Equator to take pictures, play with water, and eat lunch. Drive on through Kampala and on to Jinja. You will get to your hotel in Jinja, where you will have dinner and stay the night.
DAY 12: White water rafting on River Nile
- On the twelfth day of 12 days primates and wildlife Uganda safari. Wake up early in the morning and take breakfast. After breakfast, you will be taken to the source of the Nile to spend half a day white water rafting. This is a life-changing experience that you will never forget. After lunch, you'll meet your safari guide and drive to the hotel and then go to Entebbe International Airport for your trip home.
