5 Day Tanzania Wildlife Safari

OVERVIEW

On a 5-day Tanzania wildlife safari, you'll have the chance to see three of Tanzania's most well-known national parks, including the Serengeti, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro crater. The wildlife you will see on this tour includes the famous five, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, elands, and cheetahs among others. Some of the activities you will participate in include game drives.

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park.
Day 2: Check out and transfer to Serengeti national park.
Day 3: Whole day game drive in Serengeti national park.
Day 4: Depart from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Day 5: Morning game drive and transfer to Arusha

DAY 1: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park.

On the first day of 5 days Tanzania wildlife safari, you will be picked from your hotel, and be given a brief about the 5 days Tanzania wildlife safari, later proceed to Lake Manyara national park famous for the tree climbing lions. You will travel through Tanzania's verdant countryside. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge where you will have lunch and take a quick break. Later, you'll go on an evening game drive in the park in the hopes of spotting the tree-climbing lions, which are only known to exist in Lake Manyara and Queen Elizabeth national parks. You'll also see other animals like giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, elephants, and buffaloes, as well as various bird species and giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and elephants. You will transfer back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay after the wildlife drive.

DAY 2: Check out and transfer to Serengeti national park

On the second day of 5 days Tanzania wildlife safari, you will wake up, eat breakfast then check out, and then travel to Serengeti National Park, which is famous for hosting the annual wildebeest migration. In addition to the big 5, the Serengeti is home to a variety of other wildlife species, including cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, Thomson gazelles, elands, and hyenas. In addition to the abundant wildlife, the park has a stunning landscape studded with unusual vegetation that only those who have never been the Serengeti can only imagine.
Once you get there, you will check into your lodge and eat lunch and then go on a game drive through the park to look for animal species. Some of the animals you might see include lions, buffaloes, elephants, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, wildebeest, giraffes, rhinos, Thomson gazelles, and many more. Return to your lodge later for dinner and to spend the night.

DAY 3: Whole day game drive in Serengeti national park.

On the third day of 5 days Tanzania wildlife safari. You will eat breakfast early in the morning before exploring the park in search of wildlife with packed lunch. During morning, you will cover any tracks you may not have seen the previous evening. If you choose to go on a full-day game drive, you can choose to bring a lunchbox so you won't have to return to the lodge for lunch or you can simply do so after the morning game drive. Explore all the park has to offer, including visiting the rivers to see the crocodiles and hippos in addition to the other animals you may see today. Return to the lodge later for dinner and to spend the night.

DAY 4: Depart from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

On the fourth day of 5 days Tanzania wildlife safari. Early in the morning, you'll eat breakfast, then check out of the hotel and travel to the Ngorongoro crater, which is part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On the way there, you'll go on another game drive, so bring a packed lunch with you. The Ngorongoro crater is another famous structure in Tanzania and a Unesco World Heritage Site. You will check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay once you reach Ngorongoro after the long day game drive.

DAY 5: Morning game drive and transfer to Arusha

On the fifth day of 5 days Tanzania wildlife safari. After breakfast, you will go to Ngorongoro for a game drive in order to witness the big 5 animals, including giraffes, wildebeest, cheetahs, zebras, topis, Thomson gazelles, and hyenas. Later, return to the lodge, check out and be transferred to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at a hotel or the airport in time for your flight.
