OVERVIEW
3 Day Akagera National Park Safari is a Rwanda wildlife safari that brings visitors to Rwanda's most beautiful savannah national park. Akagera National Park is the only savannah national park in Rwanda, and it is home to a wide variety of animals, including rhinos, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, and hippos, among others. You will have the opportunity to experience game drives in Akagera National Park, viewing a variety of animals. This three-day safari to Akagera National Park begins and ends in Kigali, but can be tailored to your specifications.

DAY 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park.
- On the first day of the 3 days Akagera National Park Safari. Our company's driver-guide will pick you up from your Kigali hotel or the airport and brief you about the 3 days Akagera National Park Safari and later transport you to Akagera National Park. Afterwards, travel approximately 2.5 hours to Akagera National Park while viewing the rolling hills of Rwanda.
- You will arrive at the lodge before noon. Check in and relax while waiting for lunch at the lodge. After a late afternoon you will embark on a canoe safari on Lake Ihema where you will watch and spot various wildlife as they are sipping and bathing along the water shores, acquatic bird species. You later be transferred back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2: Game Drive in Akagera National Park.
- On the second day of your three-day safari in Akagera National Park, you will wake up to a delectable breakfast at the lodge, or with a cup of coffee or tea, meet your safari guide and embark on an early morning game drive, with the option of having a bush breakfast. Enjoy a game drive in Akagera National Park, where you will see a diversity of animals. Keep an eye out for large mammals such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, lions, and rhinoceroses, among others. Additionally, there are numerous bird species in the sanctuary.
- Later you will return back to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. You will later embark to cultural tours around Akagera national park, where you will visit Humure refugee village, where you will experience the lives of the refuges in the village, and participate in their daily activities like preparing their dishes, pottery, making ghee and among many others. After you will be taken back to the same lodge for evening relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3: Departure.
- On the third day of the 3 days Akagera National Park Safari. Get up early in the morning and be served with breakfast. After a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, experience other optional and amazing safari activities in the park like sport fishing at Lake Ihema, Lake Shakani where you will find different types of fish, nature walks to have amazing experiences while watching various attractions in the park that is animal species, bird species and many others, and after you will depart for Kigali. Your Rwanda safari concludes when you are dropped off at your hotel or at the airport to meet your outbound flight.
