10 Day Uganda Holiday Tour

OVERVIEW

The 10 Days Uganda Holiday Tour is a combined safari tour package that takes you to Uganda's best safari destinations, such as Kibale forest national park for chimpanzee trekking, Queen Elizabeth national park for game drive viewing, and Bwindi Impenetrable national park for gorilla trekking, as well as Kampala City tour. This trip begins and ends in Kampala, Uganda, which is known as the beauty of Africa.

TOUR SUMMARY

Day 1: Picked up from Entebbe Airport.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest national park.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP and Community walk.
Day 5: Game drive and Kazinga Channel – Boat cruise in Queen.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
Day 7: Gorilla trekking and Community walk.
Day 8: Batwa Community visit.
Day 9: Depart to Kampala.
Day 10: Kampala City tour.

DAY 1: Picked up from Entebbe Airport.

On the 1st day of 10 Days Uganda Holiday Tour. When you arrive at Entebbe Airport, you will be picked up and taken to your hotel in Entebbe so you can rest. Dinner and overnight stay.
Meal plan: Dinner.

DAY 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest national park.

On the 2nd day of 10 Days Uganda Holiday Tour. Wake up early in the morning and take breakfast. After breakfast, you'll be taken to Kibale National Park, which leaves at 7:45 am and with enroute lunch and upon your arrival check-into your lodge.
Nature walk: In the late afternoon, you will go on a nature walk through the Bigodi marshes to see different kinds of birds and primates like monkeys. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest.

On the 3rd day of 10 Days Uganda Holiday Tour. Get up early in the morning, and take breakfast together with your packed lunch, and get ready for chimpanzee trekking. By 7:30 am, your driver will take you to the park offices for a briefing. After the 8 am. briefing, you'll meet the ranger guide who will go with you to the trailheads in the forest to look for these great apes. Since it is primate capital, Kibale forest is a good place to see chimps. If chimpanzees are found, travelers get an hour with them to learn how they act, take pictures, and do other things. Go back to the lodge, relax and overnight stay.

DAY 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP and Community walk.

On the 4th day of 10 Days Uganda Holiday Tour. When you wake up, have breakfast at your lodge, check out from your lodge and then ride to Queen Elizabeth national park, which is one of the most beautiful national parks in Africa. When you go to Queen, you will take a tour of the Katwe-Kabatooro Community and find out how the people make more money by mining salt at Lake Katwe. Then go to your lodge check in and take lunch and then a game drive in the afternoon.
In the afternoon, you will go on a game drive to see animals like elephants, kobs, buffaloes, lions, and others in the park. Drive back to the lodge, where you'll have dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 5: Game drive and Kazinga Channel – Boat cruise in Queen.

On the 5th day of 10 Days Uganda Holiday Tour. Wake up early and have breakfast, then drive to Kasenyi plains for a morning game drive. You might see leopards, lions, and hyenas, as well as antelopes, buffaloes, elephants, hippos, waterbucks, warthogs, and many other animals. Still, Queen Elizabeth National Park is a paradise for birds, with more than 620 species, including many migrating birds and birds that only live in the Albertine Rift. Back to the lodge to eat lunch and take it easy.
In the late afternoon, you will walk down to Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This is the best way to see hippos, crocodiles, water birds, and many other animals in the water. Dinner and Overnight stay.

DAY 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.

On the 6th day of 10 Days Uganda Holiday Tour. Have breakfast in the morning, check out from your lodge then drive to Bwindi national park, stopping at Ishasha sector to see the famous tree-climbing lions. Keep driving to the park with enroute lunch, which has beautiful views of the scenery. When you get to the park, you can check in at the lodge, rest or go to the neighborhood walk. Dinner and staying the night.

DAY 7: Gorilla trekking and Community walk.

On the 7th day of 10 Days Uganda Holiday Tour. Wake up early in the morning and take breakfast. Get ready for Gorilla Trekking. Your driver guide will pick you up at the lodge with lunch boxes and drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules of gorilla trekking. Then, you will follow the park ranger to the forest start to look for mountain gorillas. After you find them, you'll have an hour to learn about how they live. And have a community visit-Bwindi. Dinner and Overnight stay.

DAY 8: Batwa Community visit.

On the 8th day of 10 Days Uganda Holiday Tour. Wake up and take breakfast. After breakfast, you will go to see the Batwa people with your packed lunch, who are forest keepers. They used to live in this forest with mountain gorillas and eat the same food as gorillas. As they lead you through the forest, you will learn about their traditional dances, songs, and stories about how they used to live with mountain gorillas in the forest. They will also teach you how to use a bow, collect honey, and make plant medicine from roots and leaves. Find out what it was like to live in grass-thatched houses, caves, and hunt small animals for food. The Batwa trail starts with a walking tour through the forest, where you can learn about the area from the first people who lived there. This full-day community walk is a great way to show respect for the Batwa people. After that, go back to the lodge for dinner and to stay the night.

DAY 9: Depart to Kampala.

On the 9th day of 10 Days Uganda Holiday Tour. Wake up, eat breakfast, and get to Kihihi Airstrip by 9:45 am. Your flight will land at Entebbe Airport at 11:25 am. You will be driven to your hotel in Kampala, where you can have lunch and rest up for the next day's events. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 10: Kampala City tour.

On the 10th day of 10 Days Uganda Holiday Tour. Wake up early in morning and take breakfast. After break, go for Kampala city tour through visiting major touristic sites in the city such as visiting the Royal palace learn about the history of Buganda kingdom, Uganda museum where you will learn about different traditional /history of Uganda, Namugongo shrine where the 45 pillars were killed from and where the annual catholic gathering do cerebrate on every 3rd June of the year with lunch in the city. Later, drive back to your hotel for dinner and the night, or to Entebbe Airport to catch your flight back home.
