OVERVIEW

This 5-day kidepo national park tour takes you to kidepo valley national park, one of the most pristine parks in Uganda, which is teeming with wildlife, some of which cannot be found in other Ugandan national parks. Mixing with the Karamojong is another opportunity to experience the rich and diverse cultures of Uganda.

DAY 1: Transfer – Kampala to Gulu.

• On your first day of 5 Days Kidepo National Park Tour. Your safari guide will pick you from Entebbe International Airport or form your hotel, welcome you and give you an introduction of the safari. Begin your journey to Gulu town in Northern Uganda after breakfast; this is a fascinating drive on a smooth road with a number of optional activities along the way, including a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for rhino trekking together with lunch along the way, then continue to Gulu, arriving in the afternoon and do city tour in Gulu town associating with the locals and among others. Meet with your safari guide and take you to your lodge for dinner, evening relaxation and overnight stay.

DAY 2: Gulu to Kidepo Valley National Park – Game drive in Narus.

• On the second day of 5 Days Kidepo National Park Tour. You will be served an early breakfast before departing for Kidepo Valley National Park. This is a three-to-four-hour journey with many interesting sights along the way, such as the Mantattas (small grass-thatched houses) and the picturesque views of the hills that separate the Acholi and Karamoja regions.
• You will also traverse a number of seasonal rivers and arrive at Kidepo Valley National Park, after arriving you will check into your lodge for lunch and some relaxation. Later you will go for an evening game drive in the Narus valley. The Narus valley is renowned for having the largest buffalo herds in the entire globe. On a lucky day, you may also observe rare cheetahs, which are endemic to Kidepo in all of Uganda and sighting various bird species, after the evening game drive return to the lodge for dinner, evening relaxation and overnight stay.

DAY 3: Game drive and Hot springs visit in Kidepo Valley.

• On the third day of 5 Days Kidepo National Park Tour. Wake up early in the morning and take breakfast. After breakfast, meet with your safari guide and visit the Narus valley for a second game excursion. You will be pleased to use the park's binocular-friendly observation sites, and you cannot get enough game drives in this park, where you are going to sight the attractive animal species elephants, zebras, elands, oribi, lions, Jackson’s Hartebeest, and others. After the morning game drive return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation before embarking on a drive to Kidepo valley close to the south Sudan border to visit the hot springs, where you will encounter a variety of bird species, particularly ostriches, whose numbers are severely threatened by poaching by the south Sudanese. Return to the lodge for dinner and another night at the Apoka Safari lodge/Kidepo Savannah lodge as described above.

DAY 4: Nature walks and Transfer back to Gulu.

• On the fourth day of 5 Days Kidepo National Park Tour. After a very early breakfast, you can go for nature walks in the park on foot with the presence of experienced guides in Narus valley, Namamukweny valley, Kidepo plains that leads you to Morungole mountains where you will meet the IK people where you interact with them, as well you can hike to Lomej mountains and among others while spotting various animal species like giraffes, waterbucks and others and bird species while observing the beautiful scenery. Later you will go back to your lodge for lunch, and after check out. Depart Kidepo to return to Gulu town for the night. Dinner and a night's stay at Hotel Bomah

DAY 5: Transfer back to Kampala.

• On the fifth day of 5 Days Kidepo National Park Tour. Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast and then drive back to Kampala, stopping for lunch en route on the way. Depending on your departure times, you will be handed off at the airport for your next flight in the early afternoon or at your hotel. The conclusion of the voyage.
