OVERVIEW
This 6-days Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Adventure will give you the chance to experience the best of Uganda's national parks, and carrying out stunning safari activities including chimpanzee and gorilla trekking in Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Impenetrable National Parks, respectively. You'll also have the chance to participate in other worthwhile activities in both parks. Other safari activities include the memorable morning and evening game drives, during which you can see a variety of rewarding wildlife, such as four of the five big five animals, numerous herbivores grazing in the savannah plains, and numerous water birds catching prey while on a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, among other rewarding attractions.
TOUR SUMMARY
- Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth.
- Day 2: Morning game drive and evening boat cruise.
- Day 3: Transfer back to Bwindi.

DAY 1: Pick up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth.
- On the first day of your 6 Days Queen Elizabeth & Bwindi Adventure, our guide will pick you up and lead you through a briefing for the safari. After the session, you'll leave Kampala and begin the drive to the park, passing through towns like Lukaya along the way. If you're hungry, you can stop for a skewer of grilled meats there if you're interested. You will participate in an equator experience when you arrive in Kayabwe, where you will pose at the equator and conduct experiments in the northern and southern hemispheres. And proceed with your journey with another stopover for lunch in Mbarara town at the Igongo cultural Centre, which serves a variety of ethnic delicacies. After lunch, proceed with your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with incredible views of tea plantations, beautiful hills, crater lakes until you reach the park. Upon your arrival check into your lodge and prepare for afternoon game drive. Where you will have the opportunity to see a variety of animals as they prepare to head to their resting place. Animals like Uganda kobs, waterbucks, elephants, elands, antelopes can be spotted and including the bird species. After the game drive go back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
DAY 2: Morning game drive and evening boat cruise.
- On day two of your 6-days Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Adventure, wake up early in the morning and be served with a relaxed breakfast. After breakfast meet with your safari guide and go on a morning game drive where you'll have the chance to see a number of early risers grazing in the plains, including antelopes, buffaloes, elands, and impalas, among other animal species like the tree climbing lions, which are quite a fascinating quality that the lions in the park possess and are quite distinctive from the lions around the world, will be viewed there in Ishasha sector and large numbers of bird species.
- After the thrilling experience, you will return to your lodge for lunch and some relaxation before the evening boat tour. After your lovely lunch, you will continue on to the boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, which will give you a broad view of the landscape and a chance to see many water birds, including wandering African Jacana, kingfishers, cormorants, long tailed cormorant, African fish eagle, Pelicans, Egptian goose, Yellow bellied stork, Hamerkops. And watching various animal species sunbathing can be seen by hippos, elephants, waterbucks, buffalos, crocodiles, and other creatures. After the afternoon boat cruise you can also go on a community or nature walks before returning to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
DAY 3: Transfer back to Bwindi.
- On day three of your 6-days Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Adventure, you will wake up early in the morning and take a hearty breakfast, check out from your lodge, and meet your safari guide and have an enroute morning game driven through Ishasha sector back to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will have lunch enroute at the hotel during the afternoon and after proceed with your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, upon your arrival check into your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
DAY 4: Gorilla trekking.
- On day four of your 6-days Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Adventure. Wake up early in the morning and take a hearty breakfast. After an early breakfast at your lodge and a packed lunch meet with your safari guide and go to the park’s headquarters for the briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking. After a briefing you will be grouped in various 8 members per group. And explore the jungle with the presence of experienced guide who will take you to the different trails to find the gorillas. Along the way you will spot various animal species, butterfly species, primate species, plant species and bird species. Gorilla trekking takes a period of 30 thirty minutes to 6 hours. And once the gorillas are spotted you will spend one hour in the presence of gorillas while watching their behaviors, watching them play, feed, groom and among many others. After the one hour you will go back to the starting point to receive the gorilla trekking certificates for participating in the activity. Once the activity has subsided, you meet with your safari guide and go for community walks later that evening to observe how locals go about their everyday lives close to the park. After this enriching experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and the overnight stay.
DAY 5: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
- On day five of your 6-days Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Adventure. Wake up early in the morning and take a hearty breakfast. After a hearty breakfast, check out from lodge and meet your safari guide. You will travel to Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest lake in Uganda, where you can see a variety of attractions, including bird species, various islands with interesting histories, and the local communities. While travelling to Lake Bunyonyi, you will stop in Kisoro for lunch. After lunch proceed to Lake Bunyonyi where you will be greeted by a cool wind and the sound of birds as you approach the lake. Upon your arrival check into your lodge and go for a boat cruise where you will observe the various islands, including the punishment island, various bird species, and many others. You will embark on community walks in the evening to see the Batwa community, an indigenous people with an intriguing culture. After you will return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay after the day's activities.
DAY 6: Transfer back to Kampala.
- On day six of your 6-day Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Adventure. Wake up early in the morning and take a relaxed breakfast. After breakfast you'll check out of your lodge and meet with your safari guide and drive back to Kampala. With the wonderful views a long way to Mbarara, where you are going to have the enroute lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre as you continue on to Kampala. Your safari will come to a close when your guide drops you off either at Entebbe International Airport or at your lodge.
