OVERVIEW
This 5-day Uganda Gorilla and Chimp safari through Kigali is for those interested in viewing mountain Gorillas and chimpanzee in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park/ Mgahinga National Park and Kibale Forest National park. You will have a thrilling experience by visiting the world’s best National parks for gorillas and primates. This tour will take your through the beautiful South and Western Uganda.
TOUR SUMMARY
- Day 1: Transfer from Kigali and drive to Kibale Forest National Park
- Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Wetland walk
- Day 3: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National park
- Day 4: Transfer back to Kigali for drop off at the Hotel/Airport to end the trip
- You will visit Uganda through Kigali
- You will be able to trek the Gorillas and chimps from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Kibale National Park respectively
- Pre and post accommodation can be arranged at an extra cost
DAY 1: Pick up from Kigali and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
- You will meet your guide early morning at the Hotel/Airport to start your 5 day Uganda gorilla and chimp safari. You will stop at the Genocide memorial in Kigali for cultural and Historical experience and later en route Lunch before proceeding. Kibale.

DAY 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetland walk
- After an early breakfast you will drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the chimpanzee trek. Your guide will let your know the principles and guidelines for the trek. You will later start the trek and you will be allowed to view Gorillas for one hour and later return. During the trek you will have chances of viewing birds, monkeys, baboons, and other animals.
- Upon return you will head to the lodge for a refreshment and later visit Bigodi wetland and community. You will able to interact with the community members, have a walk through the wetland as you spot birds.

DAY 3: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
- After breakfast you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park arriving in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight. Bwindi has three sectors that is Nkuringo, Rushaga, Ruhija and Buhoma which are located in the South and North of Bwindi. Your accommodation will be selected according to availability of permits.

DAY 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
- After an early breakfast you drive to the Park headquarters for briefing about the trek. You guide will let you know the dos and don’ts of trekking and the Gorillas and after you will start your trek into the forest. Experienced guides and trackers will accompany your party on an early morning trek into the dense rain forest on the mountain slopes. The journey, through dense foliage and up steep climbs, is abundantly rewarded with the lifetime experience of viewing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. You will have an opportunity to be within meters of these magnificent apes, sharing in their daily lives and experiencing their day-to-day activities. Mountain gorillas are extremely rare with only an estimated 880 remaining in the wild. This is an experience you won’t soon forget! After viewing Gorillas for one hour you will return and be awarded certificates and later proceed to the lodge for relaxation dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: Transfer back to Kigali for drop of at the hotel / international flight out
- After breakfast you will bid fare well to the lodge and drive back to Kigali to end the trip. You will have en route lunch and later proceed to the Airport/Hotel to end your 5 day Uganda Gorilla and Chimp Safari through Kigali.
