OVERVIEW

3 Day Mikumi Safari is a Tanzania safari tour that takes visitors to the southern safari circuit of Tanzania, where they will explore Mikumi National Park, one of the most rewarding Tanzania tour destinations for wildlife viewing. You will participate in extensive game safaris and observe a variety of wild animals, including elephants, lions, wild dogs, hyenas, and many others.

DAY 1: Arrival and Transfer to Mikumi National Park, Game Drive

• On the first day of 3 days Mikumi safari. You will be picked up and welcomed by your safari guide from the Dar es Salaam in the morning and driven 283 kilometres to Mikumi National Park along the way you will sight the stunning views, with the enroute lunch. After lunch, you will proceed until Mikumi National Park, and upon arriving you will check in, and after you will meet your safari guide and you go on afternoon game excursions in the park and see an abundance of wildlife, including elephants, lions, wild dogs, zebras, hyenas, buffalo, wildebeest, elands, hartebeest, crocodiles, and lizards, among others. After the game drive you will go back to your lodge for dinner, evening relaxation and the overnight stay.

DAY 2: Full Day in Mikumi National Park

• On the second day of 3 days Mikumi safari. Get up early in the morning and take a leisurely breakfast. Meet your safari guide after breakfast for the morning game drive. This area is home to more than 300 species of wildlife, and its fauna includes numerous species typical of the African savannah. According to local guides, the likelihood of spotting more lions that are greater in Mikumi than in Manyara, which is renowned for being one of the few safari parks in Tanzania where lions exhibit this uncommon behavior, you will spot other various animal species like elephant, giraffe, buffalo, Burchell's zebra, sable, eland, Liechtenstein's hartebeest, lion, leopard, spotted hyena, and jackal and bird species. During the full day in the park you will enjoy the bush lunch in the park while admiring and appreciating the nature surrounding. After the full day in Mikumi National Park you will go back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay in the above same lodge.

DAY 3: Departure

• On the third day of 3 days Mikumi safari. Wake up early in the morning and enjoy your hearty breakfast, check out and meet with your safari guide. And drive back to Dar, arriving early in the afternoon in time as you’re preparing yourself for ferry crossing back to Zanzibar.
